Customer Service Management Jobs
An individual who practices customer service management is responsible for the management of a team of customer service representatives. This includes training the representatives; building a strong rapport with privileged customers; handling customer service problems brought up by team members; setting customer service and sales goals and training team members to meet the same; establishing and maintaining customer service policies; coordinating with sales managers, operations managers, retail managers, etc.; supporting new promotional and sales activities; overseeing customer service and inside sales activities; and coordinating with and supporting the marketing manager in relation to customer service and marketing issues. Among the positions which are part of the customer service management process are customer service representative, customer service manager, marketing manager, sales representative, customer service executive, customer support executive, technical support executive, customer service associate, and assistant customer service manager, among others. Most of the various customer service manager positions require a bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in a customer service environment.
