Kidney Infection and Lower Back Pain
While surfing the Internet one day, I typed in the keywords, lower back pain kidney because I wanted additional information on how conditions of the kidneys and urinary tract could contribute to back discomfort. I learned that the kidneys are located in the back area and when an infection is present inflammation can occur causing pain in the flank area of the back. Other than pain, I learned that fever, chills, nausea and presence of blood in the urine can also signify an infection. I was hopeful that I did not have an infection because I did not have any other symptoms except discomfort in my back.
