Bean Bag Chairs Revive Retro Décor
Better Home and Garden Magazine did a spread on retro-inspired rooms this month and some of the designs were absolutely beautiful. My favorite was a very tasteful bedroom done in a dark hardwood floor with a shiny finish. The walls were painted white and the designer used a series of stacked white and brown modular cubbies as shelving. The bed was an oversized Bean Bag Chair covered in a soft fabric with white, brown, and tan swirls. They used a few glass bottles and a globular alarm clock as accents, but the room was otherwise uncluttered. If I had a teenager with a bedroom in need of redecorating, I would definitely borrow some of the design elements from those photographs.
