Our Mining Company Insists That Everyone Wears a Safety Class 2 Vest
When it comes to working around the heavy-duty equipment at our mine, excellent worker visibility is an absolute must. If an employee can’t be easily seen, the chances of him being hurt or even killed by moving vehicles or equipment is very real. One of the things our company has done that seems to help a lot is to establish a policy that every worker must wear his safety class 2 vest when he is on the premises. Failure to do so can result in a pretty significant fine or being sent home for a day or two. Repeat offenses can get you fired. The company takes saving lives very seriously.
